Dream Catchers
Kim Demåne, sculptures

High up on the lampposts are shapes that break with the familiar and capture what moves through the air. Kim Demåne’s dream catchers transform the city’s points of light into imaginative works of art. The floating figures bring to mind a sort of inner machinery. The senses collect the day’s impressions – sounds, images, tastes – and let them drift over into dream. Demåne’s art often moves between the playful and the darker, where dreams and reality are intertwined. In a time in which information has settled like a din over our daily lives, the work opens up an intervening space. The outer and the inner, that which passes and that which remains, come together here.
