Mellan kosmisk superabundans och mikrad makaronilåda

A structure spreads out like a cross between a playground and a building. Parts tilt, meet and break off, like fragments of a room turned inside out. The work has grown out of recycled materials and an intuitive working process. Artist Doris Apelqvist builds by testing, relocating and combining. She moves between the infinitely large and the everyday small. Thoughts about the expansion of the universe are juxtaposed with the most trivial – things that fit in a kitchen, a memory, or a body. There are hints of stories, but nothing that allows itself to be captured. It seems like somewhere we recognize, but can’t quite place.
