OpenArt Links Kumla: Avvolgimento del corpo
Alexander Creutz, sculpture.

A sculpture is standing on a podium, completely shrouded in cloth. What seems to be a classical monument is hidden – as if it is waiting for its moment, or its moment has already passed. A figure lingers – a spectre of something that once stood proud and steadfast. The covered figure may be something that needs to be protected, or something we no longer want to see. Alexander Creutz often draws on art history in his work and examines how images and symbols change over time. What emerges here is a shadow of history that simultaneously questions what is permitted to inhabit the public space today.
