JAM Public, Interactive installation

Foto: Sofie Isaksson

A colourful structure rises up over Järntorget. In the art installation Reversed Zoo, the roles are reversed: people are put into cages, while animals roam freely. With the help of costumes, play and imagination, visitors are invited to become part of the work. The creative workshop has materials to create your own costumes with wings, ears and fur. It’s open every day during the summer and transforms the square into a party. What happens changes depending on who is participating and what they bring with them. JAM PUBLIC is an experimental artist collective based in Norway that works in the borderland between sculpture, situation and social space. What first looks like a construction site unfolds into an adventure, where the boundary between audience and participant is dissolved.
