Emotions Are Like The Weather
Christian Ristow, interactive sculpture

In Järntorget, three faces appear with different expressions, suspended in a mechanical construction. They are linked together so that when one face moves upwards, the others descend. The faces can be moved up and down by passersby, and every movement puts the others into play. Christian Ristow works in the borderland between technology and performance and is hailed for his robotic constructions and interactive sculptures. In Emotions Are Like the Weather, the movements become a reminder of the transitory nature of emotions. They can be strong, overwhelming or difficult, but they don’t last.
