Reaching Through Time
Christian Ristow, interactive sculpture

Photo: Terese Sundh
Two bodies rest in a circular sculpture, turned towards one another. They are reaching out so that their fingertips are only millimetres apart. The ring is suspended so as to be set in motion by the visitor, and the distance between the figures changes with the tempo. Christian Ristow works in the borderland between technology and performance and is hailed for his robotic constructions and interactive sculptures. In a time marked by uncertainty, Reaching Through Time clings to what connects people, even when the world around us changes.
