Perman K Bäckström

The artist duo Perman K Bäckström (-79 och -83) sets out to make a new world through music and art. It is built through merging processes, performance, textile craft and electronic sounds into interactive spatial installations and acts of collective imagination. They explore social, artistic and craft-based processes through participatory, performative and organizational artworks. Backbeatbolaget culture house in Sandviken, with its youth projects, gallery space and music scene, are part of their artistic vision. As performance artist they call themselves [krig], In Swedish translated to [war] a name that relates to the aesthetics of punk and DIY history. Karin is Educated at Konstfack and Jon is a musician and educated chef.
